NaPoWriMo Day#7: Write a poem in which every line except the last is a declarative sentence, and the last line is a question.

They crush you with their words

Watching as your spirit falls

Grinning while you struggle to get up

Laughing when you fall over and over again.

Why do you still listen to them?

You know they’re wrong, they’re cruel

That their words pierce your soul

Sharper than glass drawing blood

Their laughter is cruel, malicious

They don’t care whether you rise or fall

Why do you still believe them?

They love watching you fail

They feed on your depression, your dejection

They crush you, tear you apart

Laugh while you fall, mock you when you try

Why can’t you still live without them?
