A Lifetime More

It seems like a lifetime ago when we were in love

It seems like it will take a lifetime more for us to forget

And find new hugs, new homes, new words, new smiles.

A lifetime more of wandering, searching for that refuge

We found in each other, in a world we always felt distant from.

Now in this distant world, the memory of your touch

Barely covers me, how much longer will I hold on to you?

A lifetime more, a lifetime to forget what we built.

You know I love old buildings, let me haunt our home

For just a while more, a lifetime more.
